twice-born birds with piercing vision—\nswoop down to the wood from the sky;\ntheir name is ‘Rainbow Phoenix’.\nBut the dragon kings remained fearless,\nfor the Buddha kept them safe from the phoenixes.\nWooing each other with gentle words,\nthe dragons and phoenixes took the Buddha as
