the Sangha of nuns.”\nShe replied,\n“You’re very busy,” and she created an obstacle for them.\nSoon afterwards the house of that family burned down.\nThey then complained and criticized her,\n“How could Venerable Thullanandā create an obstacle for our gift?\nNow we have neither possessions nor merit.”\nThe nuns heard the complaints of those people,\nand the nuns of few desires complained and criticized her,\n“How could Venerable Thullanandā create an obstacle for the community to get robe-cloth?” …\n“Is it true, monks, that the nun Thullanandā did this?”\n“It’s true, sir.”\nThe Buddha
