Take that as your dwelling.”\nPeople complained and criticized the monks,\n“How can the Sakyan monastics cut down trees and have them cut down? They are hurting life with one sense.”\nThe monks heard the complaints of those people,\nand the monks of few desires complained and criticized those monks,\n“How can those monks at Āḷavī cut down trees and have them cut down?”…\n“Is it true, monks, that you do this?”\n“It’s true, sir.”\nThe Buddha rebuked them …\n“Foolish men, how can you do this?\nPeople regard trees as conscious.\nThis will affect people’s confidence …” …\n“And, monks, this training rule should be recited like this:","pi":"Tena samayena buddho bhagavā āḷaviyaṁ viharati aggāḷave cetiye.\nTena kho pana samayena āḷavakā
