This page lists the texts and languages currently available, with notes on translations and recitation use.
Pāli source collection
The SuttaCentral edition contains 7,288 Pāli source files, with an English translation layer in 4,590. It includes the four Nikāyas, Khuddaka works, Vinaya and Abhidhamma material available in the source edition dated 23 September 2026. A file can contain a numbered range; the figures below count files rather than individual discourses.

4,731 source files contain abbreviated repetition markers. All supplied text is retained; missing repeated passages have not been reconstructed. Source-edition completeness and a fully expanded recitation edition are different things. English layers follow the translator’s published edition and may also retain abbreviations.
Chinese and Sanskrit sources
Seven complete Chinese main-text editions from CBETA are available, including the Lotus, Diamond, Amitābha, Infinite Life, Kṣitigarbha, Medicine Buddha and Heart sūtras. They use Traditional Chinese, not a newly written Mandarin translation. Their complete original XML, including the source header and critical apparatus, remains available. The Sanskrit/English short Heart Sūtra follows the named Ancient Buddhist Texts edition.
Optional tone-marked pinyin is machine-generated and not pronunciation-reviewed. Buddhist proper names, polyphonic characters and transcribed mantras require particular care. Unresolved rare characters remain in Chinese script and need review. Pinyin does not reproduce Sanskrit sounds. Do not treat it as an approved chant recording or a certified liturgical text.

New books and articles
The anthologies, Buddha’s life reader and contemporary essays distinguish editorial commentary from canonical passages. Source authors and translators are credited. Independent scholarly or Sangha review of the new commentary has not been completed.
Talk transcripts
Gather ’Round the Breath contains the publisher’s complete edited Dhamma-talk transcripts. These are existing authorised written texts, not a claim that TRBS recordings have been transcribed or time-aligned. New transcription of branch recordings awaits suitable source audio, rights/consent evidence and accuracy review.
Materials still restricted
The 437-page combined recitation review proof, its editable reader and its production sources remain outside public assets. Author/publisher permission for Rain Lee Lin Jun’s original writing and Ti-Ratana-owned components has been confirmed. Permissions for independently credited inherited components, language mismatches, lexical meanings and competent review of new Malay, Mandarin and pinyin remain unresolved. No “complete four-language Tipiṭaka/Tripiṭaka” is published.
